Michaela Stockhill
Varsity Head Coach
Michaela started playing softball when she was 6 years old and was on a travel ball team from age 11-18. She played for Riverview High School's Varsity softball team from 2004-2008 and was captain of the varsity team her junior and senior years. Michaela then went on to play collegiate softball at Florida Southern College where she also was the Vice President of her sorority. She majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry, Psychology, and Spanish. In 2011, Michaela moved to Athens to attend The University of Georgia to get her Masters in Public Administration. She began coaching rec ball and volunteer coaching for a local high school the year she was living in Georgia. After graduation, she began traveling the world and spent a year and a half working as a high school teacher for the United States Peace Corps in Mozambique. This is where/when she realized she wanted to be a teacher so when she returned home, she began working at Riverview High School, teaching Biology and other science classes. Michaela started coaching softball as an assistant for Riverview in 2017 and became the head coach of the program in 2019. She is happy to do anything she can to teach and grow the team to be their best possible selves, as players and as people.
